Convert it into a decimal #1/10=0.1#

Change a decimal to a percentage by multiplying by 100

#0.1=10%#

so #1/10=10%#

When we convert a fraction into a percentage, it would be nice if the denominator is #100#, because the numerator would be the percent.

Here's what I mean:

We can multiply the top and the bottom of our fraction by #10# to obtain the equivalent fraction

#1/10 color(blue)(xx 10/10) =10/100#

Since percents are out of #100#, and our denominator is #100#, the numerator is the percent.

#10/100=10%#

When converting any fraction into percent we simply multiply it by #100%#, (which is equivalent to #1#.

Here are some examples:

#1/2*100%=50%#

#3/4*100%=3*25=75%#

#6/5*100%=6*20=120%#

Thus in this case:
