#pi# is just a number which is less than #11#

So
#color(white)("XXX")11-pi > 0#
and
#color(white)("XXX")abs(11-pi) = 11-pi#

Using the approximation #pi=3.14159#
#color(white)("XXX")11-pi=7.85841#
